ReplyDeleteA job bank is a great place to start looking for a job after schooling especially in a trade where sometimes it can be hard to find someone willing to take you on if you don't have experience or know someone already in the trade. The job bank is a good place to put out the information about yourself to employers and to establish to them all your specific skills and essential skills that you can provide for the job they need done
ReplyDeleteI believe that there is a shortage of skilled persons, job bank allows you to search a range of jobs online its quick and easy. It shows the qualifications needed for each position to see if you actually qualify for the job along with the skills needed. I think it helps get to the point quicker meaning only the people who have proper qualifications and skills to have a chance in getting hired. ex. someone who has no job electrical experience will know they don't have the skills to apply for the Fire alarm electronics technician

ReplyDeleteYour blog is very useful for when I will have to look for a job, I know that communications is an important part of any trade/work. The video I think is a good use of media to help people learn that reading and writing are very important for more than just work. Thank you for posting. :)
The job bank is a useful tool and so is going to get properly educated , but its still a competitive system and you should also learn how to present your self well

ReplyDeleteAfter having read through the blog and taken a look through some of the positions on job bank, the big thing I took away is not only does every job, even different sectors of the same company, have different requirements but sometimes its best to have a few skills that are specialized rather than a bunch of less valuable ones.

Aw well the job bank tells us the education needed...Completion of high school; Completion of college CEGE vocational or technical training. And it lets us know the experience needed... 2 to 3 years for the job at hand.

ReplyDeleteI've always found in job listings such as the example given from the Job Bank website, while Work Experience of 2 years or more is often the first component to be listed, communication skills are needed to present to the employer what the work experience has given you and what it can offer to them if hired. Communication skills are often taken for granted yet they are the common thread throughout all areas of the work force.
