ReplyDeleteUsing tact when while giving feedback is a great way to provide positive, constructive criticism to an individual without demoralizing them. For example, tact can be used in association with the acronym PEP. This is known as praise, evaluation, praise. For example. Timothy has presented his speech but there were some key issues to work on. Using PEP, we would first praise the positive points to him. Second we can move on to an evaluation of some key issues to approve on. To finish off, we let him know that the job was great and keep up the good work!

Tact is to give positive feedback, don't point out the negatives, give positive answers and encouragement. Even if they do make mistakes in anyway don't point it directly out or make a big deal about it, let them know in a politely way.

Giving and receiving feedback is probably one of the best ways to improve the way you work because the things you may have difficulty with that may be somebodies strong point and your strong point may be somebodies weak point and if you share feedback you could improve their blind spot while they improve yours. then the blind spot is gone. Tact is great because you drop the hint without being direct but you can skip to the point and the person you are talking about gets the point right away because they know what they did and if you bring it up they know you are dropping the hint and they can focus on improving what you were talking about.

TACT is a tactic used to be less harmful someone's feelings when dealing with a response to a situation . You have to let someone know how they are doing without a negative response. If you give a person a positive response it will help them want to do better.

When giving feedback about something try not to be to negative on the person, don't make them feel bad about themselves and i would also use the PEP logic. When you praise someone (tell them about something they did good) then evaluation something they need to work on and or do better (don't be to negative) and then leave them on a good note and praise again.
